 | Gouache and watercolour 19.7 x 13 cm (inches: 7¾ x 5.) This work is a study for the linocut. On the reverse is the pencil study for ‘Dutch Peasant’. Also included in the margins are: a small pencil study for ‘Still Life’ after Gleizes (5 x 4.8 cm) and two designs for posters for Black’s Modern Art Centre, Margaret Street, Sydney.

This design is a possibly unique linocut impression of a bottle, book and bowl of eggs. The linocut is not in Coppel. The other design is the preliminary pencil study for the linocut.
