Six separate studies, each measuring 21 x 12 cm, and mounted individually by Procktor. Framed as a set of six.
Upon graduating from the Slade in June 1962, Procktor was awarded an Abbey Minor Travel Scholarship, and spent the summer in Italy and Greece with the painter Michael Upton and Upton's girlfriend, Anne McKechnie. Among the small number of watercolours Procktor completed during this trip, are the present sketches of Upton swimming in the Aegean Sea.
