Danny Markey in Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize

The Redfern Gallery is pleased to announce that Danny Markey was chosen from over 1,000 artists to be shortlisted for the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize 2019. Founded in 2005, the prestigious national art prize showcases the best of representational British painting and drawing, with prize money of £35,000.
Markey is one of just 81 artists shortlisted for the prize, after a record 1,191 artists entered this year's competition. Markey has been successful on a number of occasions in having work selected, and was a runner up in 2013 as well as in 2015. The exhibition will be held at the Mall Galleries, London, from 5-17 March.
