Peter Sedgley in museum exhibitions

The Redfern Gallery is pleased to announce that Peter Sedgley has been included in Action - Reaction: 100 Years of Kinetic Art, at the Kunsthal Rotterdam. The exhibition offers a comprehensive historical overview of Kinetic Art, the abstract art movement focusing on light and movement, from early pioneers such as Marcel Duchamp and Alexander Calder, to Bridget Riley and Dan Flavin. Sedgley took part in the first UK survey of Kinetic Art back in 1966, held at Herbert Art Gallery, Coventry.  

This exhibition follows on from Sedgley's inclusion in Electronic Superhighway, the critically acclaimed exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery, in 2016, which showed how artists over the past fifty years have been influenced by computers and the Internet. 

The exhibition at the Kunsthal Rotterdam runs from 22 September 2018 to 20 Janaury 2019.
