Linda Karshan and The Redfern Gallery at Draw Art Fair 2019

The Redfern Gallery is pleased to be participating in the first UK Draw Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery with a retrospective of drawings by Linda Karshan. The Redfern stand will show a selection of Karshan's drawings completed over the past three decades. As part of the Fair, Karshan will be performing a daily 'walked drawing' - a ground-breaking genre in which her feet become her drawing points, approaching the location in the same way as her paper-based drawings. The fair will coincide with the launch of The Redfern Gallery and Beam Editions publication 'Linda Karshan: Equilibrio - Art, Architecture and Sacred Geometry in conversation'.

Karshan's drawings were recently the subject of an exhibition at San Giorgio Maggiore Abbey in Venice. Her works on paper are held in museums across the world, including The British Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, Staatliche Graphische Sammlung, Munich and Institute Valencia d'Art Modern. The British Museum bought its first drawing by Karshan from the Redfern Gallery, in 1994.

Draw Art Fair London will be the first fair in the UK dedicated to modern and contemporary drawing and will run from 17th - 19th May 2019 at Saatchi Gallery, London.
