David Inshaw painting on show at the RWA

November 8, 2021

David Inshaw is among a number of high-profile artists included in a new exhibition at the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol.

The RWA Collection: Our Heritage, Our Future is the largest exhibition of the RWA's permanent collection in recent times, and includes work by some of its most famous members, such as Mary Fedden, Elisabeth Frink and Julian Trevelyan.

Inshaw has two paintings in the RWA's collection, including Figures on Woodborough Bridge, Wiltshire, which was purchased in 2006 as part of the Talboys Bequest, and a Pop-inspired painting from the 1960s, November 11 Sky.

Selected works from the exhibition, including November 11 Sky, are currently on show at Victoria Methodist Church, Bristol, while the RWA undergoes a major refurb, before re-opening in February next year.
